Mentally unbalanced man abuses his kids by hoarding 30k toys and not allowing them to play with them.
Nice. He says “let’s look at the care I BOUGHT FOR YOU”, then she gets the fun of hanging them up, unopened, on the wall, instead of getting to actually play with them.
He’s forcing his warped hoarding behaviour onto his kids, pretending he’s doing something nice for THEM, but actually he’s buying the crap for himself.
He’s got cars stacked 4 deep, he can’t even SEE, let alone enjoy in a meaningful way.
I used to collect Matchbox cars as a kid, and football cards, and we actually PLAYED with them, but guys like this drive toys out of a kid’s (or his parents) pricerange with their OCD hoarding.
This affected me in the real world when my kids were into Skylanders: you literally can’t play parts of the game if you don’t have all the characters, or different classes. We might miss the exact week one was available, but trying to buy it after the fact online they cost 5-10x the retail price because of hoarders- of course, the manufacturers play along by limiting the number and ceasing production of certain characters, driving up prices.
Sorry, but I think it’s stupid, a waste of money and it would be one thing if he were doing this himself, but forcing his kids to hang a new toy he just “BOUGHT” for them up on the wall, never to be touched again, is just sick. You can look at his garage and see his kids never get to have any fun: all the toys are stashed and hung out of a kid’s reach.
This guy has an OCD/neatness/hoarding psychosis and it’s pretty sick he forces it on his kids. She probably has a room full of Barbies, new and in the box, never played with.
People like this guy have driven normal toy collecting out of the range of a kid, because due to his mid-life crisis binge collecting -he can’t seem to finish the real car sitting in his garage, maybe that’s why he compensates with toys? He bought the working one already restored, which says a lot about how much he “loves” cars.
I bought an MGB, totally rusted out and engine, brakes and electrics shot, rebuilt it knowing next to nothing about Brit cars, and learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Instead of buying then hanging up thousands of models, why doesn’t this waste of oxygen try really accomplishing something.
Sorry, I don’t share your enthusiasm for this weirdo. I do pity his kids though. I can see how “enthused” his daughter is at getting a new shipment of cars he “bought for her” which she knows will go on the wall, never to be opened, let alone played with. Sick, sad, psychotic behaviour.
