This is my solo acoustic arrangement I use when I play it in my solo set, with chords that voice the melody better than straight majors.

For the easy-guitar version, just replace the sus4, sus2, maj7 and 6/9 with the root major chord.

Try these though, if you are adventurous, it may make you a better guitar player and you might
learn a chord you really like (I particularly enjoy the Bbma7sus4 F6/9 Csus4, which incorporates the melody for “TALK ABOUT IT”)

Annoying dylan song gets annoying video treatment

The only reason they picked this song is because it’s long enough to be a (somewhat, not to me, but to someone I guess) interesting and has a lot of words and articulation, so it’s a good subject for this stupidity.

It’s accompanied on that blog with a worshipful recapitulation of the song and it’s execrable history (I’ve heard it 1000 times and yet it still bores me).

Worked this up as a video audition for a cover band I was filling in for a couple of weeks.
I play the main lick higher on the neck than most people do I guess because I like the fullness of the lower strings and it just flows for me there for some reason. This has some odd time breaks and can be a finger-twister but once you get your muscle memory up it chugs along on autopilot. I’ve never minded jumping around alot on the neck, keeps me awake.
