Well, Doll is back. After taking some time to travel to Italy and Africa and begin putting together an autobiography, Colwell once again plunged into a new series of Doll stories.
The theme of Doll #4, whether or not women prefer cruel men and what is the true nature of masculity brought a lot of thoughful feedback from Colwell’s readers, which he posted in #5.
The issue itself covers when Eddit the bum breaks in to Waxman’s studio, steals Doll, shares her with his friends but ultimately became so possessive and jealous of her he murders them. He ends up committing suicide to avoid giving her up, but as the cops question Wiley and debate on whether or not Doll has any intrinsic value and should be destroyed for the damage she’s caused someone spirits her away…
