Reasons I’ve done this in the past include thrill of exhibition, thrill of doing something deemed taboo, boredom, vanity, and some more “artsy” photos for contests or to show what little progress I made trying to take fancy pictures. In more instances than not, I’ve done it in a way that blocks any comments, negative or positive. It’s never been about the feedback for me, with the exception of the ones for technical merit as a constructive criticism on lighting and angles. -uperstars

I do it to normalize different body types. Not everyone is tiny skinny. And not everyone is 18. Fat 38-year-old moms also have bodies that are super sexy. Since I am 90% comfortable with my body, I share it so that other women can say, “Hey, I look like that! I’m beautiful, too.” For the record, I have a big fat ass and my lovers, male and female, have always adored it. Online too! – searedscallops

I’ve been looking for a good place to post pics of myself for a while. Here are my reasons:
1) I think I have a pretty good body. I show off things I’m good at. Why not my body? As a writer I share more intimate details about myself through my writing, then any picture could possibly convey. The same goes for any artist.
2) I think it’s hot that some guy might blow a load to a pic of me. – GingerDryad
