Death Rattle, great horror and sci-fi comic, finally all 26 issues up, notated and credited. For some reason, this one took forever, probably because we couldn’t find a good source of info and had to pull contents from one site, credits and dates from another and transcribe all the notes from the inside covers, plus make all the slides.
This is a fantastic series, it might also have taken so long because I kept reading the stories. Great art, great stories, love this 3 volume series of a comic that couldn’t seem to live up to its name, it kept coming back and with a fantastic title like Death Rattle might yet resurrect.
You can’t run and you can’t hide when Death comes calling and this issue brings you death in its loveliest forms Swiss surrealist Thomas Ott brings sweet dreams of suicide to life in powerful wordless scratchboard comics and we preview the work of newcomers Matthew Coyle and Peter Lamb from their forthcoming graphic novel “Registry of Death” hard-edge SF of a future where the different are hunted and abbatoirs are art galleries. There’s more SF in teh zombie haunted conclusion of Matt Howarth’s “Klemdiggers” and Tom Sutton continues his tale of the horrors of biology gone awry in the sencond installment of the bizarre “Dr. Wrotwang’s Wratzweks” It’s the deadliest issue yet of the resurrected Death Rattle!
Unfortunately this would be the last issue of Volume 3 and the last Death Rattle (to date). End of a great series and title which may yet rise from the grave again.
