Can we prosecute the Democrats under the RICO Act yet?
I’d say this month, between all the criminals in the new Obama Admin, Geither, Holder’s malfeasance, the mayor of Baltimore, Blagovich, and now Daschle, the Democrat party seems like a corrupt organization set up to commit fraud and other crimes.

President Dumbass Obama
How stupid do you have to be to mistake a window for a door? We certainly hope Obama doesn’t mix up the doorbell for the “button”. Anyone this stupid shouldn’t really be in charge of matters of life and death and national security.

Go ahead, make your bed with Panetta, Obama
No link, fuck everyone involved, but the internet is alive with opinions on Panetta to the CIA. As well as other “canny” and “inside” picks by Obama, naming partisan political hacks to important office with an eye on every angle to get himself re-elected.
He just better fucking hope America is not attacked by terrorists in the next four years, or his “astute” and practical picks will blow up in his big-eared face. And conservative bloggers need to jump on him early and often for every failure. I just read a disgusting article claiming Bush’s rep will never be improved over time because of his “failures” in Iraq, Katrina and the financial blow-up.

Only the leftists die young
I always love to hear liberals bemoan how racist the rest of the country is, but not them of course. They would embrace Obama, but those racist rednecks on the right would want to kill him.

Gift of the Magi
They were newlyweds, and poor in all but love. For the first year, that was enough.
For the second, a tightness came to her face, and he looked a bit less elegant, with his thrice turned cuffs. He looked a bit pathetic, going from one place of business to another looking for work after he lost his job at the bank.
She smiled less and they stopped talking of having children, having them soon, anyway. He made due with patched shoes and shiny, threadbare suits. She mended her dresses and tried to be patient with staying home every night of the week and week-ends too, when they used to dance four nights of the week and dine out three before they were married.
All that remained of his former affluency was his heavy gold watch, the pride of his family for generations. Even in his impoverished state, he was always reassured when he pulled it out, hefted it in his hand, the ever true timekeeper. Somehow, it made him feel a little better.

Christmas Tree
The young pine tree stood holding his branches out as if in supplication. Indeed, he was soundlessly praying, if a tree can be said to do so, to whatever gods or druids or faeries to which a pine tree would pray. He was praying the harvesters would reach his rank and row today, tomorrow at the latest.
For it is the week before Christmas, and unless he is taken quickly, he will be too late for this season. Perhaps he might have too propitious a Spring and Summer, with much sun and rain and life-giving humus. Then he might grow too large to be considered quite suitable for a Christmas tree. His pith sank at the thought, and he pushed it away and continued his matins to the pine tree Jesus, or Buddha, or Allah- to whatever the wood-folk present their heart-wood’s desire.

Klassic Kos: the King of Wrong
As we’ve noted before, why anyone puts any stock in anything this stupid motherfucker kos says is beyond us. He got in on the bottom floor of the internet flood of intense far left discontent, gave them a place to vent, shrewdly took on all the co-bloggers he could so as to maximize effect, and is crowned as a genius and a true pundit on what is going on in politics today and the inside scoop due to his contacts with important insiders.

Republican crisis: what should we do about it?
Demographics do not favor the Republicans. The much derided “coming democrat majority” is upon us, and unless the GOP does something drastic, it’s days as a competitive national party are numbered.
