Anyone else thing Michael “Mockumentary” Moore’s new film Sicko might face a backlash? Republicans and non-moonbats are never going to see it anyway, and the left might be aware of the fact that firing up the choir notwithstanding, if anything, F911 probably had a negative effect on Kerry’s chances in 2004.
Besides which, does anyone really want to see a movie telling us the healthcare system is fucked up? Every complex system is fucked up and flawed. Is it really entertaining to see people in misery with health problems also jerked around by insurance companies? Beside the fact there is no obvious Republican villian here (I really don’t think the average person equates HMOs with Republicans) like he had with the NRAand Bush and Big Business in his other 3 masterpieces.
That, and the fact there will be huge expectations for it, and the fact that the press loves to savage someone after building them up and then spin a mediocrity as a total failure after spinning a mediocrity as a total genius a short time before.
I look for it to be a tremendous belly-flop. I think _everyone_ is pretty sick of Moore by now.
