Ok, so Dr. Atomic is up. I don’t know how we ignored this guy for so long, he’s way overdue to our legion of honor. Most of these are slapstick, druggie funnies, nothing too cerebral here but one funny note is the Marijuana Multiplier issue, which was basically how to use an Isomizer, if you were alive in the ’70s you’re aware of these things, they supposedly made poor pot good by going through a god-awful amount of trouble to distill down the intoxicants and leech off the dross, but I don’t think anyone ever made a profit or even gained an inch doing it.
1974 special edition one-shot, Dr. Atomic’s Marijuana Multiplier, which provides detailed instructions for enhancing the quality of cheap, low-grade marijuana. The instructions are fairly complex and include volatile chemical recipes that should be approached with caution.
First published in the early 1970s. Dr. Atomic’s Marijuana Multiplier demonstrates the playfulness characteristic of the period. Larry Todd’s Dr. Atomic, a well-loved underground character, walks the reader through the process of turning low-grade weed into high-quality smoke. With today’s advanced growing techniques and high-grade seeds, most indoor marijuana provides a powerful smoke without Dr. Atomic’s stove-top process. CAUTION: Some procedures described involve dangerous solvents and processes. They should be conducted by a trained chemist in a licensed lab only.
However, these guys are firmly in the Fab Furry Freak Brothers camp so if you liked them you’ll love him. Enjerski.
