When this campaign cycle began, I supported Guiliani. I knew nothing about Huckabee, since then I’ve heard him say a lot of idiot god-stuff, he’s apparently playing the card that “the Republican establishment hates Evangelicals, its time we got in their face and nominated one, who happens to be me“, which is a pretty weak argument.
McCain I didn’t like because he made his bones being a “maverick”, which means bashing Republicans and President Bush, which of course the MSM loves to report, and McCain loves press more than the Dallas Cowgirls love to get an ass-whuppin’ on national TeeVee. I also didn’t care for his “campaign finance reform”, but let’s face it, all that crap is esoterica and there are a million ways around it, and it sure didn’t stop the Swiftboaters. Its meaningless in the long run- the money will get out there, they can try to direct the flow but it will get out there anyway. Its a non-issue to me.
Looks like Rosenbaum was right all along, and Matt Welch and Patterico were full of shit?

You know, I like Cusack’s movies. I also like the way my mechanic fixes my car and the way my plumber fixes my sink.
But I pay them for that, not to their lame-brained theories on politics. Cusack has a platform because he’s a movie star, and he mistakes that platform and the interest people have for him as an actor for interest in anything he has to say about politics.
He also mistakes the attention given a celebrity with people giving a shit about his opinion. Why actors believe they are uniquely qualified, out of all the professions, to give us the benefit of their wisdom, is probably due to the fact that people are kissing their ass from the time they get up ’til the time they are going to bed, and they start believing their own press releases.
Some of John’s “brilliance”:

I can’t imagine any group less qualified and intelligent about political matters, and with less credibility with which to lecture the rest of us poor dumb bastards, unless its rock musicians.

my XX chromosomes have taken over – I have Palin fever and I’m rooting for her with all my heart
Gov. Sarah Palin. Watching this wonderful woman, I’m at a loss at how any woman can dislike her or hate her or root for her to fail.
There are a number of bloggers here on docweaselblog and we come from disparate backgrounds and have differing opinions. The guys kind of run the blog most of the time, but the girls have a very strong opinion too and I’m breaking out tonight.

Leftist humor and Obama’s leftist politics reflect a disdain for middle America

The kernel of the nut of this post is a bit muzzy. I spent considerable time on the photoshops and the post ended up rambling between several subjects. It began with a reverie, wondering if the disparate forces of the leftosphere and the leftist press were irrevocably estranged, or would they kiss deeply, with tongues, look into each other’s metrosexual eyes, cop a feel, get their noodle wet and make up in time to go back to their normal synchronized Republican bashing.
But the subject of the day is Obama’s pridefulness and hatred for the common man. which leftists are now framing as racist righties calling Obama “uppity”. But since he’s half-white, it could just be his hateful, bigoted white blood, crazed with entitlement and the cudgel of patriarchal repression, smashing down on the poor white trash of Appalachia.
