Plight of modern day noble red men.The

This reminds me of the scene in Life of Brian where one of the Jews asks “What have the Romans ever done for us?” followed by a long litany of education, language, aquaducts, public health, public order and civilization, city planning, agriculture, wine etc.

I take it even further. I work online tech and design and am in front of a screen many hours a day. To make sure my offtime isn’t monopolized by the internet and phone I have text turned off. You want to communicate with me, call me, don’t give me this one sided conversation where you talk at me and sign off.

I am increasingly convinced the only way to stay sane is to revert back to a flipphone, which I use. If I need to be connected, I do so when I get home. If someone wants to talk to me, they can call me. I have text disabled. Believe it or not I’ve never missed anything earth-shaking and I manage to live day to day without a smartphone. I’m in front of a keyboard and a monitor enough, when I’m with the kids, when I’m with people I care about I don’t want to constantly be distracted by a cell phone. Besides which, it’s rude and hurtful to the people you love when you are constantly breaking off to check your phone. Really, fark smartphones. They are terrible terrible things that enable terrible behaviour, mostly in people who are prone to be assholes anyway, but otherwise innocent people are also guilty.

If women were as competent as men in the office, they wouldn’t make only 75% of what men make. AmIRite guys? 😉

And talking about “caregiving”, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the figure like 100% of the people making the “choice” to kill their unborn babies women? Talk about caring! 😀

More innocent black people mugged by white reality

I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet, and I predict it WILL happen, that all these black people claiming the police, and now citizens, are harassing them but are proven wrong by dashcams and surveillance cams are going to start stating that we don’t know THEIR reality, we can’t understand that police politely asking you to walk against traffic seem condescending and smugly racist from a BLACK perspective, that the woman pulled over for a suspended license felt threatened by the officer’s professional and respectful manner, which she found intimidating and hostile,and you can’t know unless you’ve had the black experience.

Reality is in the melanin level of the beholder

Ho-hum, another entitled black elite gets in a situation with the cops, this time, unlike the case where the lady of color was in danger of getting hit by cars because she’s too dumb to walk facing traffic (she feels entitled to walk in the middle of the road because of years of white traffic privilege, or something) this Princeton prof of color had warrants out for her arrest.

And predictably, she was totally in the right and the cops were hostile, mean, racist, intimidating, rude, hateful, unruly, unkind and pretty much RAC-ISS!11 as Robert Byrd at a Klan Night Koffee Klatch.

During the mid-’90s to the mid-’00s I was single, kidless and spent 10-18 hours a day working on various jobs and projects on the computer. I had a really cool job ’96-’01 working for an online MMORPG, doing graphics, using the map editor to make game maps, writing special events, wtih all the attendant pop-ups, mythology, explanations, quests, prizes and rewards, enemies, allies etc. etc. for special events and the main game.

Not quite amazing, if you consider that there are literally dozens of distinct ‘accents’, even within a state, and many states have their own distinct accent. The “Southern” accent you are probably referencing is quite different and distinct in Georgia than in South Carolina and different again in Virginia.

Jezebellians: You’re right to point out they are white men, because that helps us understand why they are evil (since all right-thinking people know white men are the basis for all evil on our society, especially privileged fratboys).
