Note: Very recently I lost a dear friend, Barbara Wilson, who was known professionally as Crystal Starr. A very talented stripper/dancer, who was also great at acrobatics on the trampoline, and worked for a circus before her career started to take off dancing and stripping in the nightclubs. She constantly had difficulty controlling her diabetes and she was only a few days older than me when she passed. Since she had told me about this incident and as I wasn’t there to see it (plus, since the story is embellished for entertainment value), I have to classify it as fiction.

I hope you enjoy it, I know nothing would have pleased Crystal more!

Commune

I’m a lesbian and have never tried to hide it. I mean, I don’t go out knocking doors in the neighborhood proclaiming that I’m a lesbian, but if somebody were to ask me if I was, I would say yes. Now my partner Valerie is different. She works at a school and if it ever got out that she liked women, her career would be over, at least that’s what she thinks.

So when I got home from work, and started to ask how her day was I could see that she was visibly shaken.
