Cover designs by team dwf for new Siren CD You Never Noticed
3 designs (one with an alternate design) for the new CD by the Tampa, FL band Siren, to be named “You Never Noticed”.
The band will choose one in the next month or so. Another designer has also been working on it, but the dwf team was invited to submit some designs after the original designers work was rejected.
These are very different and diverse designs. We were going for a very “out there” and unique vision, not a stereotypical generic bullshit design, which means our are pretty crazy.
The first submission, above, is based on a photo by a stunning young Polish Model, Little Flair.
We were going for a very colorful and loud vision based on Japanese import CDs and Japanese magazines and comics. It’s a very vertically troped look influenced by Japanese writing. This is one of the most gorgeous models the team has ever worked with, and she’s just a dream and has as sweet a personality as she does a sweet face.
The 2nd design is based on an image by photographic artist Awakenend By Dreams:
The intent was a very Victorian, throw-back look, based on scientific manuals, collage art, symbols of love and death, geometric symmetry, horror movies and Lovecraft.
An alternative version, without all the details and gingerbread was also designed:
The 3rd design is a very simple one based on a series of photos by photographic artist pictet:
The main design components are just text blocks, colored and shaded based on the light on the model’s body.
The entire CD package, including the front cover, inside pages for the booklet, and the back cover for the booklet and CD:
and lastly, the lovely Little Flair 2nd design
