docweasel.com, with 250k pageviews a day, supports itself with the only ads that actually pay the bills, in fact, the only 2 industries that actually make money on the net: gambling and adult ads.
The proprietor of PW begged for weeks for free money to keep the blog going (although why he couldn’t run a free wordpress blog, I guess just vanity?) but failed, I guess. Announced he’s closing down today.
More examples of so-called “conservative” blogs not walking the walk when they talk the talk about fiscal conservatism. Ironically, these are the same blogs pontificating about the bail-out and decrying the government subsidy of businesses who can’t legitimately survive in the workplace. They want to be subsidized for shit no one wants to pay for but which they wish to force on the public airways and internets.

Is it really all that bad?
Watch enough Reality TV and you’ll see it. Weeping whining crying sighing chest banging tantrums about problems that aren’t problems. People bitching about imagined rights they feel have been infringed upon, poor long suffering souls wailing that the world is not looking after their needs. This behavior is not confined to the dregs of Fox prime time, its ll around us, TV just treats it to a giant audience. No one is happy and somehow in this age of enormous excess, nothing is enough.

This isn’t an attempt to paint docweaselblog as possessing any moral superiority over those with which we disagree. It is, however becoming more and more apparent that some very loud and influential rightwing voices are venal, dishonest and disgusting in their stands on some of the issues in which the country is embroiled.

Bill Whittle doesn’t post a lot on his blog EjectEjectEject and that may be why its so well written, his posts are so well thought out, his arguments so compelling and his presentation so succinct and trenchant.
This is probably old stuff to many of you, but its new to me.
I was googling for something else when I came upon this article: SEEING THE UNSEEN Part 1, which was written November 6, 2006 (his latest post is from July of this year and has nearly 800 comments) but that doesn’t make it any less topical.
Its not often a program as worthy of your time and money comes along. A lot of people talk about supporting the troops, but there are very few tangible ways we can sacrifice ourselves and show we care and appreciate their effort.
