By you’ve heard the charges…

by docweasel Apr 4 2006

Why all the sudden her veracity is coming into question is a mystery to anyone who has followed the career of this responsible, straight talking politico. Oh, I know she has been accused of out-landish statements, like this one:

“We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on September 11,” McKinney said that day. “What did this administration know and when did it know it, about the events of September 11? Who else knew, and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered? What do they have to hide?”

Washington Post, April 12 2002

but that does not warrant the current feeding frenzy smearing her as a wild-eyed wacko. I mean, just look at the lady. Although Jonah Goldberg claims to have “ample evidence that Ms. McKinney is dumber than rock salt and more repugnant than Yasser Arafat’s three-week-old underwear,” so far no one has produced any such lingerial evidence, so that kind of charge is mere conjecture and innuendo on his part.
