Apparently, one of Romney’s main selling points, his business acumen and his executive experience which would help balance the budget and keep spending responsible and efficient, wasn’t one of the highlights of his campaign:
By Republican strategist Alex Vogel’s calculation, Mitt Romney is giving Gramm a run for his money. The former Massachusetts governor has spent $1.16 million per delegate, a rate that would cost him $1.33 billion to win the nomination.
By contrast, Mike Huckabee’s campaign has been the height of efficiency. Delegates haven’t yet been officially apportioned, but roughly speaking, each $1 million spent by Huckabee has won him 20 delegates.
Yet another line of bullshit from the Romney Robot, who wouldn’t even have HAD a campaign had he not been able to pump millions of dollars of his own money into ads and organization. And even with all that, he was only able to eke out victories in states with a high Mormon concentration, a few Mountain states with 2-5 electoral votes, and Minnesota, which is a state full of crackpots and crosspatches anyway.
I am still savoring his loss and am gratified his sons are still whining over the unfairness of the fact people voted against Romney just because he belongs to a cult that damns their religions as being Satanic. Those touchy evangelicals! Don’t they know that tolerating intolerance is the new black?
