Leftwingnut blogs (sorry, no linkage for morons) are still invoking the “chickenhawk” myth, that no president who hasn’t seen military service should send soldiers into war.

I guess this rules out Hillary, Obama or Edwards ever sending any U.S. soldiers on any mission, in the unlikely event one of them is elected.

The damage Hillary! did to her own campaign at the debate the night before Halloween is even greater than previous thought, and at the time people were saying she choked.

Its always been an established fact: the more Hillary! opens her mouth and people focus on her, and the higher her disapproval ratings and the lower her support. Oddly enough, that was also true of Kerry and Gore (though not Bill Clinton).

Dan Riehl, in his How Much Of Bobby Caina Calvan Is Made Up? and LGF story McClatchy Reporter Calvan Created His Own Reality make a charge much more grave than dissing an American soldier at a border crossing.

I’ve been in a quite amicable email correspondence with Mr. Calvan and have asked him to respond to these charges, if he cares to. Also, another reporter has sent me some thoughts that might explain some of the seeming contradictions in both these stories, but has asked me not to use the material. I’ve asked him to put it in a form I can use and will include it in a new post if and when he does so.

In my clogged email box there is this from a co-worker of Calvan’s. He has a legit SacBee email address, so I assume he’s for real. It kind of shows how reporters miss the entire point. The guy defends Calvan for being pushy because “sometimes thats how we get the story”. Maybe. In the interest of fairness I’m posting the guy’s email. Someone with his name does work for the Sacramento Bee, whether or not this is he I can’t say for sure.

A newspaper reporter (an endangered species anyway) acts like a total fuckhead dealing with an American soldier trying to protect him. He manages to be arrogant, insulting, ignorant and pathetically ignorant all at once. This post is a true thing of beauty. If I didn’t know better, I’d think it was a parody written to make reporters look bad (like they don’t look bad enough already.

I previously wrote a long comment about Mormonism on Dan’ Riehl’s site. The reason why I commented instead of doing a post about it is that it is currently affecting a close friend of mine. I see how they are using manipulation, coercion, guilt, and over-bearing full court press of “missionaries” coming over to her house, calling at all hours, pressuring her and pretty much playing on a very emotionally fragile person’s vulnerability to get them into Mormonism.

I would go as far to say that far from being a religion that improves the world and improves life, Mormonism is an absolute evil and pernicious force in America, and its practitioners, whether consciously or not, are spreading hate and intolerance, and using brute tactics and intimidation to do so.
