monty python stuff
Wow, haven’t updated this page since the ’90s. Wallpapers are “giant” 800×600 bmps (for those of you born this century, old wallpaper had to be bmp, which is bitmap, a format you’ve never seen) and the sound files are .wavs (still a good format, less lossy than mp3, drawback is nothing plays it off-computer and the file-size is huge). What these short clips (and a lot of the other stuff like desktops and icons) were for were for Windoze95 and 98 desktop themes, with custom, theme oriented sounds, images, icons, pointers, cursors, screensavers and the lot. Again, dinosaur stuff no one uses now. Ah, MSPlus. Still have a folder of that old stuff on an old outboard harddrive somewhere.
Other than that, very good stuff. So we’re calling it “monty python throwback/retro media” until we update the page.
