Gov. Sarah Palin. Watching this wonderful woman, I’m at a loss at how any woman can dislike her or hate her or root for her to fail.
There are a number of bloggers here on docweaselblog and we come from disparate backgrounds and have differing opinions. The guys kind of run the blog most of the time, but the girls have a very strong opinion too and I’m breaking out tonight.

A turn in the polls
There is finally a lot of negative stuff about Obama making it into the national consciousness. It’s going to have an effect. Obama has always been the candidate of “no come-back” ability. If not for the financial crisis, he’d be getting his ass pounded right now. That crisis is fading as a factor, as everything fades quickly in this information age.

Educating Sarah
In the movie Educating Rita, a naive, honest, forthright young woman is educated to the point that she has a more erudite and polished way of expressing herself and appreciating literature, but she loses her purity and appealing freshness and vitality. When we meet her, she expresses herself in a unique voice and discovers the world of classical literature and poetry with wonder and describes it in her assignments in a very raw, vital, visceral and personal way.

Democrats never lose an election, they are always robbed
This cracked me up (via Wash Times)
The coalition of angry Clintonites has accused the Democratic Party of stealing the presidential nomination from Mrs. Clinton and were further outraged when Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama passed over Mrs. Clinton as his running mate in favor of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware.
Many of these renegade Democrats vow to back likely Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain or sit out the election, despite Mrs. Clinton’s wholehearted endorsement of Mr. Obama and her speech Tuesday at the Democratic National Convention in which she made a plea for party unity.
