Liberals are putting their fingers in their ears and going LALALALALALA whenever its brought up, but the but the surge in Iraq is working.
Today marks D+30 since the start of Operation Arrowhead Ripper. The initial goal of Arrowhead Ripper was to clear Baqubah of al Qaeda, and then attempt to “jump start” the city back into civic life, which had all but ceased while the terrorists were in control. Though relatively minor clearing operations are still underway, there is little combat in the city.
Further, in a new email Yon states unequivicably that he thinks the surge is working, based on his experience in Iraq, which is considerable. Area formerly seething with violence are “boring” and calm now.
“Wow. There was zero combat reported in Baqubah yesterday. Hard to believe. But I am right here, and that’s the way it was.”
Liberal commentators and bloggers heads will explode if President Bush is found to be correct and victorious in his strategy in Iraq. Already I’m seeing a lot of defensiveness and denial over the fact that the Surge seems to be improving facts on the ground in Iraq.
Seeing the forces of evil defeated and proven wrong at the same time will be too gratifying for words.
